The finely structured tectonics of the façade respond to the site’s specific topography through a combination of horizontal and vertical design elements. Rising above the surrounding terrain is a mineral plaster skin, punctuated by encircling bands in varying shades and textures. Whilst the volume faces the street in a closed and self-assured manner, the proportion of openings towards the rear garden increases significantly. Delicate metal railings and a meticulously designed entrance area complement the elegant appearance and emphasise the architectural coherence of the solid-built structure.
The layout of the six residential units is based on the spatial separation of fluid, communal living areas and private retreat zones. Floor-to-ceiling windows with a wood-and-metal frame maximise natural light and allow the interior and exterior spaces to flow seamlessly into one another. The interior design is characterised by tactile wooden parquet floors and white plastered surfaces, which provide a neutral backdrop for the panoramic views. In the kitchen areas, natural stone worktops and fronts finished in high-quality real wood veneer add distinctive material accents. Spacious terraces and loggias extend the living areas outwards and, particularly in the penthouse unit, offer sweeping views across Lake Zurich.
