The lot, located on a steep slope, offers the viewer a 180-degree view of Lake Zurich nearby and the Alps in the background.

With the premise of fully exploiting this potential for each residential unit, two structures are set on the plot, creating apartments through a complex play of layering as well as projections and recesses that benefit from the numerous view qualities and the changing atmospheres during the course of the day.

The two buildings are accessed by a foyer located on the slope with a central skylight, which lies like the tip of an iceberg as a social link between the house hemispheres and the underground garages.

To emphasize the building's layering, only the floor slabs stand out from behind the horizontal window bands, while a second layer of exterior walls behind them - which modulates privacy at certain points - recedes into the background.
