The building is situated on a raised hillside in Zurich-Witikon and, with its two-part gable roof, echoes the neighbourhood’s characteristic roofscape – a structure that, despite its contemporary design, blends naturally into the established surroundings.

The façade is clad in light-coloured, vertically grooved render and is punctuated by wood-and-metal window frames and cantilevered ceiling slabs. A circular oculus window in the gable façade adds a precise formal accent and provides side lighting for the loggia of the penthouse flat. The four units face different directions; the floor plans flow from clearly defined entrance areas into open-plan living and dining areas, which open out onto balconies or a spacious garden seating area via floor-to-ceiling lift-and-slide doors.

The penthouse makes use of the geometry of the pitched roof to create a flowing living space beneath sloping ceilings, crowned by several roof windows and a west-facing loggia with a view of the lake. The materials used in the interiors – Bauwerk-Parkett, natural stone worktops, handle-less kitchen fronts with matt lacquered surfaces – continue the tonal restraint of the façade within the interior.
