Through various volume manipulations, such as the bending of the building corners and a fanning out of the facade development towards the south-east, it succeeds in creating a stoic and graceful building whose heaviness is skillfully broken. The outer shell, designed as a perforated facade, emphasizes the physicality as an overall expression, with discreetly inserted horizontal plaster bands subtly emphasizing the layered logic of the building. The picket railings are adjusted to the band height and feature a doubled-up horizontal handrail to integrate windows and balconies into this understated layering theme.
Four apartments per floor benefit from three-sided orientations of differentiated views and sun situations, while the polygonal form of the floor plan creates interesting spatial relationships and deep integration of the living space into the surrounding green space. A fifth, smaller apartment convinces with clear spatial economies and a generous balcony. The three attic apartments culminate in flowing living and dining spaces, which are designed as spatial bodies facing nature with terrace references.
