The quiet appearance and clear logic of the building is made possible by a highly complex staircase, which as an integral heart of the building mediates between the slightly offset floors. The building is accessed from the side along the Rumpumpsteig defined by historical retaining walls, giving it an identity close to the quarter, which is further underlined by the continuation of the retaining walls in the landscape design and the inclusion of protected flora and fauna. The driveway to the underground car park is on the slope side, which is shortened in perspective by a series of stepped tapering in order to enable the opening to be harmoniously integrated into the facade design and to take the weight off the entrance.
The floors are traced by stone double bands in the grey-violet plaster facade, which open up a graphic game with the terrain offset at the corners of the building. In the floor plan, the building draws on a series of refinements in order to do justice to the qualitative orientation of the apartments. In addition to natural lighting of the residential units and their interlocking to the outside via balconies and loggias, a well thought-out soundproofing strategy is being pursued, which allows quiet ventilation of the apartments while protecting the volumetric projections.
